This is the in-character RP journal for Hlakrun Azzarhal, an AU of Hikaru Aozora of my The Wonders of Mundus novels as a native transmasculine son of the nation of Tchallak from the Zephyrism stories by Quinn.

Hlakrun is, like Hikaru, a transmasculine adventurer, alchemist, and scholar: unlike him, he is human (if short), a maker of inks, paints, and dyes, and the lead artist of the radical queer “Ocean” literature collective “Stormy Weather,” famous for mixing hardcore filth with poignant existential themes and Hlakrun’s talented brushwork.

The username is a triple reference: first, to my baseline Hikaru account, ohaiyo_isekai; second, to Hlakrun’s unofficial image song linked above; abd third, to the old Oulian joke that’s their equivalent to “closeted trans women are eggs because when they hatch chicks come out” that roughly translates to “unthawed trans (men) are beans because when ground down they become Joe” (koule, “coffee,” and also a common Oulian male name).
